Garden Show and Plant Fairs

The conveniently situated Digby Hall in Sherborne is the ideal location for the Spring Sherborne Plant Fair. The indoor hall will be full of colour from dainty spring bulbs to bold and exciting perennials, plus a wide selection of camellias and shrubs. There will be an extensive range of organic vegetable plants and herbs. Whatever plants you are looking for, this event is for you.
The Digby Hall is easy to find (just off the A30 turn into Newlands), next to the Sherborne Library. After enjoying the plant fair, why not explore the rest of Sherborne, an attractive historic town with an excellent selection of small independent shops as well as coffee shops, restaurants and pubs. There is also a magnificent Abbey, Sherborne Old Castle, and Sherborne Castle.
Car parking available close to the hall and light refreshments will be available. Easy access for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

This large and popular Plant Fair is held on the grounds of Mapperton House, near Beaminster. The superb gardens have been voted one of the top 50 gardens in the UK and the winner of the Garden of the Year 2020 Historic Houses award.
The specialist nursery stands will be selling a wide range of plants for your garden or conservatory from herbs and vegetable plants, summer tender perennials, ferns and herbaceous perennials.
With such a large selection of stands, this popular sale offers a massive choice, great value and is great for plant lovers as well as those who want a ‘Gardeners Day out’ in fantastic surroundings.
The Coach House café will be selling hot and cold drinks and light meals, and there will be coffee vans
Well-behaved dogs on leads are allowed into the plant fair, and, NEW for 2026, in the gardens as well.

Specialist Plant Fair set in the park of Yarlington House, a Georgian Manor House, by kind invitation of Count and Countess Charles de Salis. This will be a great day out for any plant lover, be it a novice gardener with a new garden to fill or a plantaholic looking for more treasures.
Among the 30 stalls, you will find organic vegetable plants and colourful summer bedding, plus plants for cut flowers, wildlife and shady areas – plants for every nook and corner of your garden! All fantastic quality, great value for money and expert advice if you need it.
The entrance ticket includes admission to the extensive gardens, not normally open to the public. Explore and you will find a rose garden with pleached limes and lily pond and a wisteria arbour. There is the sunken Italian garden, golden laburnum walk, a productive vegetable garden and a woodland dell with original Victorian winding paths, cleverly fashioned into the manner of an amphitheatre. Perfect for inspiration for your own garden! Many of the plants will be on sale in the plant fair – including a stand with plants grown and propagated by Yarlingtons’ head gardener,
The plant stands, and refreshments (tea, coffee and cake) will be in the spacious park

Symondsbury Estate are delighted to be holding its second plant fair in Spring 2026. There will be plant specialists from across the region sharing their experience and expertise, as well as offering demonstrations and talks. If you’re green-fingered or simply looking for a fabulous day out in beautiful West Dorset, make sure you mark your calendar – this is an event not to be missed.

24th & 25th MAY 2026 10am – 4pm TAVISTOCK COUNTRY GARDEN SHOW,
PANNIER MARKET, TAVISTOCK, DEVON. PL19 0AU
This established annual show looks to celebrate all things garden related, with a ‘grow it – eat it – enjoy it’ theme and various trading and exhibiting spaces will be in, and around, the Pannier Market, Bedford Square and the Guildhall Square for this year’s show.
Thank you to all the exhibitors & traders who took part last year, and especially to the many visitors for making it a great atmosphere.
Tavistock Pannier Market played host to the first Tavistock Garden Festival in May 2005.
Since then this ever popular event has continued to grow to become a firm fixture on Tavistock’s events calendar providing a great day out for all the family.
